Boy Scouts Blue and Gold/ Tomahawk Centerpiece

One of the most important rites of passage in the world of scouting is the Blue and Gold ceremony. During this ceremony, your scout is awarded the belt loops, pins, and ranks he has worked so hard to earn. It is truly something special. The following is a Native American Dual Tomahawk Centerpiece for a Blue and Gold Ceremony.

I created this look by using a styrofoam ball which I cut in half, cardboard and silver paint for the blades, leather strips, beads, ribbon, feathers, and blue paint. I glued the names of our little men onto the ribbon-feathers.

A little help and tweaking from another crafty parent, and here is the end result. This was accomplished by using standard blue wrapping paper and a cardboard box.
