Simple Floral Votives

Hello, friends!  Thank you for taking the time to stop by!

Since the weather has been so nice lately, I thought is was a perfect time to begin entertaining outdoors during the evening!  When setting a table for an evening soirée, upgraded votives are an easy way to add elegance to your table.  I hope you enjoy the post.

You will need:
Small votive candles
Floral stems (I used hydrangeas)
Hot glue gun and glue sticks

Begin by removing the floral petals from their stems.

Remove the faux stamens.

You should now have a pile of petals.

Bead glue on the lower rim of your votive.

Pinch petals together in a triangular or fan shape, and glue directly on the lower rim of your votive.

Continue process until the whole lower rim of the votive is covered in petals. These are really so simple,  are a great addition to any table for which you want a little extra elegance....such as garden parties, weddings, et cetera.  They may be used indoors or outdoor; if using outdoors, it is a great idea to use citronella candles.  Citronella smells wonderful, and also repels pests such as gnats and mosquitoes.

  2. Perfectly crafted. Will the heat from the wick effect it?

    1. Thank you for the compliment and inquiry, Haddock! No, as I was setting up and taking pictures, the candles were lit, and there were no adverse effects. Thank you for visiting!
